The Greater Karoo Conservancy
The Great Karoo is an invaluable conservation area and internationally recognised as very significant but as yet it has no official conservation status. Because of its evolutionary role as witnessed by its unique fossils, its brilliant skies, hydrological importance, uninterrupted landscape filled with rare fauna and flora, historical towns and other heritage-rich sites, its friends and communities treasure the Karoo.
Conservation target: 1 000 000 hectares of Great Karoo - Please register by completing the form below and become a Great Karoo Champion.
Membership target: Everyone - If you are part of the Karoo community or a friend of the Karoo please sign up. Existing conservancies and private nature reserves, new conservancies and all farmers can join.
